Course Description

Neuroanatomy Supplemental Instruction was developed to provide additional instructional material to lectures at the veterinary anatomy labs at Texas A&M University. It is a navigable tool that will assist you in reviewing topics from lecture, provide you with questions to test your understanding, and give you an opportunity to practice localizing lesions. The module is a tutorial on neuroanatomy for first year veterinary students. (Does not address vestibular disease.)

This module consists of: - Nervous System Introduction
  • Spinal Nerves and Peripheral Nerves
  • Basic CNS Localization Areas & UMN/LMN Signs
  • Spinal Reflexes
  • Cranial Nerves
  • Cranial Nerve Reflexes
  • Apply Your Knowledge

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, the learner will:
  • Demonstrate localizing lesions
  • Summarize material from the lectures at the veterinary anatomy labs
