1130 - Antimicrobial Stewardship: Building Competencies in Judicious Use to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance
Course Description
A one year subscription (from date of purchase) to this collection of online resources designed to teach students the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to support judicious use of antimicrobials to combat antimicrobial resistance. This series of modules was developed by a multi-institutional team of experts to help teach veterinary students the essential knowledge and skills to support judicious use of antimicrobials in clinical practice. The online collection of evidence-based educational resources is available for free to all schools of veterinary medicine within the United States and covers antimicrobial pharmacology, mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, public health implications of antimicrobial resistance, and judicious antimicrobial use in clinical practice.
Practicing antimicrobial stewardship requires an integrated understanding of microbiology, immunology, pharmacology, clinical medicine, and public health. This flexible collection of resources can be used modularly, or in any sequence.
This package is a product of the Center for Educational Technologies of Texas A&M University.
