Course Outline

After you complete this course, you will: 

  • Be able to define a crisis-effective change process.
  • Learn the stages of addressing a crisis on campus.
  • Identify the importance of effective communication in times of crisis.
  • Identify the steps necessary for an investigation.
  • Utilize guiding questions when conducting an investigation.
  • Understand the importance of mental health in school.
  • Understand the negative effects of exclusion and suspension of students.
  • Identify the role of principals in maintaining discipline in schools.
  • Learn about some challenges principals face in enforcing discipline and implementing effective discipline practices.
